As we wind down from the busy month of December, many of us will conduct our own personal year in review in order to seek a fresh new start. Resolutions are made, goals are set and we tell ourselves that next year will be different but more importantly, much better. As we turn the page on the calendar to an entirely new year, we wanted to take this opportunity to reflect on our own special year in review and provide a sneak peek into 2014.
Before doing so, we would first like to thank our clients for allowing us to help contribute to their continued success. We look forward to what the new year has in store and as the amazing, inspirational icon Oprah Winfrey once said “cheers to a new year and another chance to get it right”.
The year 2013 has been one of our most successful thus far. We are proud to say our sales have skyrocketed 25% since 2012 with local and national requests growing exponentially. As exciting as this has been for us, it has been equally exciting for the staff on our roster, especially the ones flourishing in Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal—working more consistently than ever before! It has been a BIG year for us and here are just a few highlights from our work in 2013!
Almost a year ago we started working with Zoom Media to assist in the planning and execution of both small and large scale promotional marketing stunts. Our largest, most memorable activation to date was for a new laundry detergent deisgned specifically for sports enthusiasts being launched by Tide. At 24 gyms across Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, fitness members were invited to “Sweat their Workout not their Laundry” with “Tide plus Febreze Freshness Sport”. To execute The Tide Test, our staff collected participant’s laundry and returned them a week later washed, dried and folded with a free new bottle of Tide (and yes, we did all of the washing, drying, and folding!). This program is what blossomed the relationship we currently hold with Zoom Media today and and has led to other programs for Emergen-C, Crest, Yellow-Pages and Telus!
Working with the world’s seventh largest brewing company, Molson, in conjunction with Bell Media was another exciting project for us this year. This past summer, our team produced a series of Molson Canadian Cider Backyard BBQ’s for participants who won on affiliated Bell Media radio stations. We decked out the each backyard with a Molson Canadian Cider pop-up tent, branded barrels and banners along with a cottage inspired Molson beer & cider tub and bar. We planned a delectable selection of food and of course an incredible selection of Molson Canadian Cider, Molson Canadian Lager, Molson Canadian 67 & Sublime and Molson Canadian Wheat Brands. Aside from an array of food and drinks, our staff got into a series of games from ladder ball, washer toss to limbo! Our relationship with Bell Media has been an exciting one; we can’t wait to see what awaits us in 2014.
Finally, we’d like to highlight one of our clients, PMA Canada (Peter Mielzynski Agencies Ltd.) for choosing Tigris as their preferred vendor in Toronto & Calgary for their their project management and event staffing needs. We have been working with them consistently since May 2012. In addition to Appleton Rum, they have also finalized a 5 month sampling program to launch American Honey, a new brand being re-branded and launched in Alberta from Dec/13 through to Apr/14. This has been a popular program to work amongst our promotional models and we look forward to continued success in the months ahead!
We’ve been waiting, we’ve been ready and now it’s finally here – the year 2014!
Tigris is ramping up for another busy year. We will be kicking off a national sampling program for Danone, in association with Zoom, in Toronto, Montreal & Vancouver. We will also be hosting a booth at the Landscape Ontario tradeshow Jan. 7-9 while American Honey & Appleton Rum samplings continue to roll out. For the 11th consecutive year, we will be getting started on recruiting and event planning for Miss & Mr. CHIN at the 48th annual CHIN Picnic Jun. 28-Jul.1. While the production is still 6 months away, we diligently begin planning in late January/early February. After all, it is the world’s largest free multicultural picnic!
Thanks 2013.. we’re happy to wrap-up another successful year with pride! Being our 10th milestone year in business, we’re already looking forward to what our 2014 year in review is going to reflect.
