Team holiday parties bring together hard working groups to celebrate a year’s worth of personal and professional success. We’ve still got a month left of 2017 and we’ve already staffed over 60,000 hours on events across Canada and the United States. That’s double the amount of hours we staffed last year. Pretty crazy, isn’t it?
We have many reasons to host team holiday parties in our top 4 markets this year. In addition to executing amazing events like St. Joseph’s 6th Toronto West Halloween Fest, Cadillac Fairview’s Inspiration Station and WINNERS promotions at iHeart Radio concerts across Canada, our team has won some pretty outstanding awards. This includes a CAMP Award and a gold Stevie Award for Best Viral Marketing Campaign to recognize our work on “Wakey Wakey Canada” (to promote Transferwise), a Smarties Award for Best On-Site Marketing Campaign, and 2017 Top Choice Award Winner for Best Event Staffing Agency in the GTA. We have plenty of reasons to celebrate, wouldn’t you agree?

As a result, it’s only fair we throw team holiday parties for them annually, to celebrate another year of growth and success!
What could be better than good food, great company and unlimited free arcade games? We’ve held past Toronto holiday parties at Ballroom, Spin, Grace O’Malley’s and other great downtown venues. Continuing with the interactive theme, this year we chose Tilt as our party destination. Tilt is a Toronto Snackery, Bar, and Arcade Museum. They have a significant collection of arcade games from all eras and yummy food that takes on classic midway and snack bar favourites. Upon entry, our team received drink tickets, a raffle ticket to win 1 of 5 prizes, unlimited free access to all games onsite and tons of food.
Because our team is a big group of outgoing, friendly people, they flocked to the games and it even got a bit competitive! From Pac-Man to Skee-Ball, there was a game for everyone. In addition, the food disappeared quite quickly because it was so delicious! Ice cream sandwiches, corn dogs, pulled pork sliders and onion rings – what more could you ask for?
Tigris talent could be found laughing and posing for team photos at the Bier Markt. Our team was in the beautiful Galerie de Bruegel on the 3rd floor. The access is semi-private, so our group had the back of the room set for a cocktail reception with some high-top tables and some chairs around. In addition to a raffle and fancy drinks, our team indulged in tiger shrimp, spring rolls and beef skewers. As you can see in the photo above, the event was extremely festive!
Our team could be spotted in a private room at Joyce on 4th, one of Calgary’s best pubs! Indulgent treats including tarts and squares in addition to tapas filled our team for a night of fun. Kaidy, our Regional Account Manager in Calgary, exclaimed everyone was so thankful for the opportunity to mix and mingle as a team. Because each event has different requirements, the majority of our team have never worked together and in turn, never met before. Throwing team holiday parties like these are the perfect opportunity to have our team connect outside of their events.
131 Water Kitchen and Bar was very accommodating and perfect for our team holiday parties on the west side of the country. The upper level was spacious and one of the walls was lined with all kinds of games that everybody played! Who doesn’t love a game of Canadian Trivia?! Because the space was reserved, our team was able to have intimate conversations while playing board games. When selecting a venue for a team holiday party, it’s important to consider whether it will be private, semi-private or public. The last thing you want is your guests shouting to be heard!
Near the end of the night, raffle prizes were drawn in each city to further to show our appreciation for staff who made it out to party. Wondering what our raffle winners received? Prizes included gift cards ranging in value from $15 to $50 each to The Keg, Sephora, Cineplex, Starbucks and more were won. Congratulations to all of our team members who left with a prize! The parties went off without a hitch and team members had a blast. Our management team had so much fun chatting with old friends and meeting new ones.
