2014 Notable.ca Business Awards – Cast your Vote for Tigris’ CEO before Nov. 30!

About Notable.ca, Their Content, Their Events and Their Annual Business Awards

If you are a young professional (aka “YP”), you’ve probably heard of Notable.ca and may follow them online – but have you heard about their business awards? If not, we’ll get to that as we have some very exciting news involving them and Tigris’ President and CEO, Serena Schwab.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Notable.ca, let’s start there. First off, by definition. Notable = : 1. worthy of note or notice; noteworthy; a notable success; a notable theory; 2. prominent, important, or distinguished; 3. The online source for what’s relevant to young professionals, eg. notable.ca. (a little tongue in cheek but no less true).

The impressive site geared towards young professionals, Notable.ca has over 1.5 millions Canadian visitors monthly (yes, monthly – that wasn’t a typo). Launched just 6 years ago, Notable.ca has grown to become THE largest online publication for YP’s, connecting hundreds of thousands of people with other people, places, products, parties and events. They keep YP’s in the know so they can take their personal and professional lives to the next level. Better still, Notable.ca provides localized content for Canada’s major marketing including Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto to provide relevance  for their readers and followers.

Speaking of offline however in the way of parties and events, Notable.ca has developed quite the impressive reputation for organizing some of the hottest do-not-miss events ranging from Apothic Wine Tours, TEDx After Parties, launch parties for the Samsung Galaxy, a Soiree for Mount Sanai Hospital – and their annual Notable Awards, which is really what we’re here to talk about.

The Notable Awards powered by Fusion are business awards intended to recognize the most notable young professionals across the country. Created by Canada’s leading publication for YP’s and sponsored by Ford Fusion, these events are hosted in 3 cities across Canada to commemorate YP’s spanning 31 industries. Think of it as The Oscars for young professionals and entrepreneurs. It is the ultimate recognition.

This year, Tigris’ President & CEO, Serena Schwab has been nominated for a Notable.ca business award in the field of Marketing and Advertising. How amazing is that? This is one of the most sought-after designations among young, up-and-coming, innovative professionals across Canada and our team at Tigris couldn’t be more excited!!!

So what happens next? Well, there are four criteria that will be reviewed by Notable.ca to determine their winners include the following….

1. Dedication to Your Career :: First and foremost, we recognize the young professionals who display the maximum dedication to their career. They are the opposite of status quo. These are the YPs who stop at nothing to move up the ranks at their company and/or to build their business, leaving the competition behind.

2. Inspiring Co-workers, Colleagues, and Clients :: The Notable Awards are all about shining the light on the young professionals who show their teammates and clients the light on a daily basis. We’re looking for the leader in the office – the individual who helps others push forward through earnest dedication and by example.

3. Charity and Community Involvement :: We’re only as strong as the community around us. Notable Award-winning young professionals understand that no matter how successful they are with their career, without giving back to their community the optimal 360-degree young professional life can never be realized. A major factor in winning a Notable Award has to do with the extent of which a YP donates anything from their time, money, or leadership to the not-for-profit world.

4. Votes :: The Notable Awards are far from a popularity contest, but voting legitimizes the pursuit of winning an Award. A nominee may claim to be the most successful entrepreneur, inspire a company of 500, and sit on 10 not-for-profit boards, but if said nominee receives two votes (dog and parent), odds are something doesn’t add up. Voting will not determine the winner, but the number of votes a candidate receives are certainly taken into account. To show your support and vote for Tigris’ President and CEO, click here. Remember, we need your vote before 5pm on Sun., Nov. 30 so don’t delay.

Nominees will be narrowed down to the Top 100 Finalists. And every finalist will be invited to the Awards ceremony where the sole winner in each category will be announced. The awards ceremony in Toronto takes place at 9:30pm on Thurs., Dec. 4. Be our guest for these exciting business awards. Best of all, tickets are free!
