Nature Inspired Booth Design for RADO at IDS

As you probably already know, creating an attractive, effective booth design is crucial to achieving maximum brand awareness and sales at a trade show. First of all, exhibitor fees aren’t cheap! Therefore, it’s important not to waste your money by exhibiting with a simple table and pop up banner. Your options are limitless when creating a booth; from nature inspired booth design to high technology, it’s completely up to you. If you are unable to create and implement a memorable design and layout on your own, turn to an experiential marketing company to create and execute.

In mid-May, RADO contacted Tigris to assist with the design, build and installation of their trade show booth at the Interior Design Show in Vancouver and Toronto. In addition, they required one engaging brand ambassador to assist with their interactive design lab and engage with show attendees. The overall mission was to create a natural elements 10×30 booth that focuses on β€œThe Elements of Time” and enhances the RADO brand while highlighting the showcased design prototypes from local design schools. The nature inspired booth design was a collaboration of natural elements incorporating sight, sound and touch.

The first event was Sept. 20-23, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Over the course of 7 weeks, our management team was to source and secure various elements to build the booth. Watch the video below to see the final product in Vancouver!

Our Event Manager Wendy flew from Toronto to Vancouver to be on site for the duration of the show. It was her duty to ensure set up was done correctly and troubleshoot (if required) throughout the show. What does it take to create a booth from scratch? See below to see what goes into a well designed booth.

Bold Branding

The bright branded living wall is definitely the highlight of the booth. It’s beauty is impossible to miss, drawing guests to the booth with it’s luscious design. The living wall is the focal point of the booth. Because a trade show can have upwards of 300 exhibitors, a brand must make a bold first impression. As guests walk down the aisles, if they aren’t familiar with your brand, they may have no reason to stop and learn more. With bold branding, those looking for your booth will be able to find it, and those unfamiliar with your brand will be intrigued to learn more.

Interactive Elements

When you think of a trade show, giveaways probably come to mind. You’ll leave with hundreds of branded pens, key chains and notebooks. Doesn’t sound too memorable, does it? That’s why RADO invited guests to create their own gift complete with the RADO seal. Materials included over 1,000 jars & lids, branded stickers, coconut oil, essential oils and coffee grinds to create an organic coffee scrub. Not only is this gift interactive, but it also includes many health benefits and adds a lovely aroma to the zone. Coffee scrub benefits include: exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants reduction of cellulite, improved circulation, reduced eye puffiness, and smooth skin.

Unique Displays for a Nature Inspired Booth Design

In addition to booth lighting and custom vinyl hardwood flooring, custom display cases with LED lighting were created to showcase RADO products. If you are showcasing a special items, ensure they are presented properly. A messy display will not attract customers; ideally, you want them to be attracted to the product and encourage on the spot purchase. Therefore, unique displays are a crucial element of the best trade show booth designs.

Along with the unique displays, the booth was decorated with ferns, a catcus, and a wooden bar with stools. The entire booth immersed guests in a nature inspired experience, second to none!

Big Personalities

Regardless how attractive the best trade show booths can be, the most crucial component is to have friendly, encouraging personalities in your booth. They must guide guests through the booth experience and be readily available to explain the brand and answer any questions. In addition, your booth must have someone to lead guests through the interactive elements. For the RADO booth, one promotional model assists with set up/tear down, engaging with guests and leading them through the DIY coffee scrub activity. Having additional personnel inside your booth allows guests to feel acknowledged and become more engaged with your brand.

We will be recreating the same experience in Toronto Toronto Jan. 17-20 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Be sure to mark this date in your calendar! If you’re looking to create a memorable trade show experience, contact Tigris today. We operate nationwide across Canada.
