Increasing Brand Awareness for Maximum Nutrition Centres across the GTA!

The snow is going to melt… eventually; and with that in mind, summer is just around the corner so there is no better time to start thinking about your health and fitness. Of course, these should be things we think about year round but shedding the winter layers of clothing is a great motivator to get your diet and training back on track. Brand Awareness Strategies: Fitness Demos for Maximum Nutrition

Maximum Nutrition Centres is a vitamin and supplement store located in the Greater Toronto Area – conveniently, their Pickering location is only a five minute drive Tigris’ head office! The first store opened in 2009 with one key objective – to help people reach their maximum potential by offering them exceptional products at unbeatable prices. Now, 5 years later, Maximum Nutrition Centres has two locations in the GTA (Pickering & Whitby) and an online store to better service customers from all end of the city, and country for that matter.

Along with vitamins, supplements and sports nutrition, Maximum Nutrition Centres has also created a unique line of fitness apparel that literally turns heads. We’re specifically talking about their workout pants – from purple camo to stars and stripes, we can’t decide which design we like the best!! We’ve worked hand in hand with Maximum Nutrition Centres to provide gorgeous, athletic promotional models to host fitness demonstrations across the GTA over the past couple of months. In fact, the next demo is coming up this Sat., Mar. 7 from 9am-2pm at the YMCA in Oshawa. These demo’s occur in fitness facilities where guests can try samples of various supplements such as nutrient packed greens to vitamin rich protein powder while checking out a few samples of work out gear in wild colours. This is a great way to increase brand awareness for the chains target demographic and drive customers / sales back to their stores.

How To: Protein Packed Ideas from Maximum Nutrition

What do you look for in a fitness and nutrition store? What are some of your favourite products? Below, I’ve listed a few of our “must-have” items from Maximum Nutrition Centres, and how you can supplement them into your diet.

NOW Stevia Extract  – a non, artificial sweetner and sugar substitute, derived from a plant. You can include stevia in your protein pancakes, herbal tea or anything else you need to substitute sugar with.

PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter  – PB2 has the same consistency as full fat peanut butter with all of the natural roasted peanut flavor, but with nearly 85% less fat calories. PB2 is made with high quality peanuts that are slow-roasted to our specifications and pressed to remove the oil. All natural with no artificial flavors,sweeteners, or preservatives. Mix with water to create a traditional peanut butter mixture.

Progressive Harmonized Chocolate Protein Powder – Harmonized Protein features Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Milk Protein Isolate, Colostrum and Lactoferrin. This combination offers superior health-promoting properties far beyond that of any individual protein source.

Now that you’ve got these 3 essential ingredients, you can create chocolate PB2 overnight oats. This meal is perfect if you’re on the go, in a rush in the mornings, or are looking for a protein packed post-workout snack.

Ingredients:
*3/4 cup oats
*1 scoop chocolate protein powder
*1 cup unsweetened almond milk
*2 tbs PB2
*1 packet Stevia

Directions: Mix all of the ingredients at night into a tupperware container, mason jar, shaker bottle (or anything else you can think of!). Store the mixture in the fridge and let it soak overnight. In the morning, your delicious chocolate peanut butter oatmeal recipe will be ready to eat.

If oatmeal isn’t your thing, another amazing recipe is protein pancakes. Yes, pancakes that are actually good for you. Here’s how you make them.

Ingredients:
*1 scoop of your favourite protein powder (we love Diesel Whey Protein Isolate from New Zealand in Vanilla)
*1/2 cup of egg whites
*1/4 cup of rolled oats
*1/4 tsp of baking powder
*1/2 tsp of coconut flour
*1 tsp of unsweetened almond milk
*generous helping of cinnamon and stevia to taste
*top with your favourite zero calorie Walden Farms syrup (also available at Maximum)

Directions: Pre-heat your frying pan to medium heat. Spray the pan or use coconut oil to prevent sticking. Blend the ingredients and pour into your pan. Cover the pan but check often to avoid burning. Once you see small bubbles at the top of the pancakes, flip and cook the other side until golden brown. These are SO delicious, it’s hard to believe they are actually good for you.

If we could only choose one product to buy (besides Maximum Nutrition’s awesome workout pants), we would suggest trying a Quest Nutrition Bar. The flavours are endless – S’mores, Cookies & Cream, Double Chocolate Chunk and White Chocolate Raspberry (our personal favourite)… it’s hard to believe these bars are actually healthy! If you’ve got a big sweet tooth, pop the bar into the microwave for about 8 seconds for sweet gooey goodness.
