Experience Interactive Marketing with Sport Chek’s Back-to-School Promo at Toronto Eaton Centre!

It’s that time of year again – do I even have to say it? Close your eyes kids – it’s back to school! To eliminate the dreadful back to school shopping that most students aren’t looking forward to, Sport Chek in Association with a few strategic partners have created an exciting interactive marketing promotion to alleviate the pain.

As the largest national retailer of sporting goods, footwear and apparel in Canada, Sport Chek has your back to school sporting needs covered. Under just one roof, Sport Chek stores are designed to provide Canadian consumers with an array of all of these products to make shopping easier (although, you could spend a few hours just trying to decide what to buy out of all the wonderful products they have to offer). The selection of products at each store is extensive with popular name brands as well as many private brand products. Sport Chek believes that a healthy lifestyle can be adopted at any age, any level and within any activity. From elementary school to college, whatever you need to aide your active side during school, Sport Chek has it.

At Sport Chek, it’s not only ‘back to school’ time, but also ‘back to sports’ this September. As a huge promoter of active, healthy living, this is very important to Sport Chek and the lifestyles they aim to support. As a result, they have joined forces with many organizations to encourage communities to get and stay active, and right now, the focus is on students returning to school.

To show students that Sport Chek is the place to get everything you need for back to school, they have created a unique and exciting experiential marketing promotion. Sport Chek will be equipping a few lucky students with the ultimate back to school package. This isn’t your typical ‘back to school’ promotion however. There will be a filled “Mystery Locker” with back to school gear – from sporting event tickets to prizes worth hundreds of dollars. The interactive marketing campaign will be taking place inside Toronto Eaton Centre from Thurs., Aug. 21 until Sun., Aug. 24. As Sport Chek says, “Your Better Starts Here” – especially for the lucky contest winners!

Interactive Marketing Promotion Entices Shoppers with the “Mystery Locker”

Sport Chek’s mission is to inspire every Canadian toward a fit, healthy and active lifestyle – so of course, Tigris couldn’t be more happy to assist with their interactive marketing ‘back to school’ & ‘back to sports’ promotion.

Tigris has been working with Canadian Tire since May 2012 for various programs,  and they have recently contacted us to book a team of event staff to assist with Sport Chek’s “Mystery Locker” promotion taking place inside Canada’s biggest mall – Toronto Eaton Centre! During this promotion, our brand ambassadors will be engaging people in a friendly and enthusiastic manner to promote Sport Chek and create excitement around the contest.

The larger than life sized “Mystery Locker” will be set up on the main concourse level of Toronto Eaton Centre for back to school shoppers. Contest participants will be given combinations from our brand ambassadors for the chance to open the locker and win some of the amazing prizes that reside inside. Our reps will be busy greeting guests, stocking the locker, and setting off the buzzer for different outcomes. Whenever there is a winning combination, bells will ring and sirens will flash, making a big scene in a really busy part of the mall. How exciting!?!

Along with encouraging guests to participate in the contest and managing the activation, our brand ambassadors will also be educating people on Sport Chek and what they’re all about. Interactive marketing at it’s finest and most fun if we do say so ourselves!
