Tis The Season for Festive Promotions with Events Staff!

We know you just put away the Halloween decorations, and starting November 1st you were bombarded with Christmas carols and eggnog lattes. There’s barely a transition between these two holidays. There is just so much to do but so little time! That being said, there are no shortage of holiday parties hosted by promotional models and festive promotions with events staff! Planning holiday promotions are in the works and at Tigris, we’ve already started planning events for a few clients. The holidays are a perfect time to make a strong push for your brand with a promotional campaign, publicity stunt or special event.

Festive Promotions with Events Staff Are Among Our Favourite to Execute

The holidays an amazing time to pull out all the stops for your company. The bigger, the better! in December 2013, Tigris assisted Toronto Eaton Centre in hosting “Santa’s Log Cabin” in late November and early December. This impressive larger than life size log cabin was set up in Trinity Square outside of mall, with Santa awaiting inside; much to the joy of children and mall shoppers alike. Community Friday’s were a time for families with children to drop-in and visit Santa inside his log cabin, enjoy free hot cocoa, the warmth of a real fire AND receive a sneak peak at new toys. Our staff created buzz and excitement about Santa and the toys he would soon be delivering while guests waited in line for the man in red! They were bundled up in sweater, parka, hat and scarves for this chilly promotion, rotating between the outdoor line and touring guests inside the cabin. Needless to say, this activation was a holiday hit!

Airports can be stressful and boring, especially at the holidays. To spread some holiday cheer, GTAA partnered with a local ad agency, a marketing company and you guessed it, Tigris to execute a fun holiday promotion at Toronto Pearson Airport during the week leading up to Christmas in 2010. The goal of the holiday campaign was to enhance guest experience and make their travel as memorable as their trip. The Holiday Storyteller program ran from Dec 17-24th, where Tigris supplied character models to represent Mrs. Clause and Santa’s elves to distribute candy canes and read stories to children waiting for their flights. Festive promotions with events staff can get so creative! This was such a memorable program for us to be a part it. It brought smiles to the faces of literally thousands of travelers and little faces over the course of the week.

Don’t leave your holiday shopping until last minute; get started holiday shopping in November! Tigris teamed up with our friends at Krista Slack & Aylett to execute Santa’s official welcome to the Christmas season at Scarborough Town Centre on Nov 17th, 2010. A team of 16 male and female events staff were dressed up in a festive costumes, complete with hair and makeup, to execute a parade through the mall – ultimately leading Santa to his throne. Following the parade, our festive events staff engaged mall customers distributed coupons to help with their holiday shopping, handed out gift bags and posed for photos.

From Festive Promotions with Events Staff to Employee Parties Hosted by Promotional Models

Festive promotions with events staff can include holiday parties and special events as well. In 2012 & 2013, Tigris worked hand in hand with Bell Media (formerly Astral Radio) in early December to plan and execute an activation at the Broadcast Executive’s Party at the Sheraton Hotel, Toronto. Now this was a fun party, let us tell you!

Tigris coordinated the decor for an interactive photo booth including a unique Santa chair, red carpeting and stanchions. We also sourced the costumes for a sexy Santa and a handful of cute elves to pose with him. Who wouldn’t love a sexy Santa? You’re never too old to sit on his lap! We’ve already started discussions to plan this year’s party… you’ll just have to wait and see what we come up with 🙂

With just over 6 weeks left until Christmas, aside from our client’s events, we’ve already begun planning our 11th annual celebration for our own events staff here in Toronto. With our largest roster in TO (almost half of the total roster), we’ve diligently planned an annual event year after year at various pubs and clubs including Grace O’Malley’s, Thompson Hotel, Fiction Nightclub and Easy on the 5th (to name a few). This year, our events staff can look forward to an evening with food, refreshments, music, games, prizes and best of all, the company of their fellow events staff. We’re in the midst of creating an invitation to this party, so be on the look out if you’re part of our Toronto roster. You should be receiving it this week. We want to celebrate all of your hard work and the success you have created for us this year!
