Toronto Event Marketing: The Power of  Gaining New Customers & Create Lasting Relationships!

Toronto event marketing agencies are always striving for new ways to stand out. We are constantly bombarded with so many advertisements that we have almost become immune to them. From the moment you wake up, you are attacked by ads on your phone, your favourite websites and on TV. Hop in the car and you hear an ad on the radio, you by passing a billboard and there’s even an ad on your coffee cup! What’s the point of marketing if people aren’t taking the time to engage in your advertisement? There are 3 key factors that make marketing effective: creating an emotional connection, relevancy to them and utilizing a “wow” factor. It’s important to create a memorable experience for participants so that they either become consumers or consumers become regular customers.

So how do you make your brand stand out?

Because there are so many ways to reach your audience, you may find it beneficial to hire outside experts (like Tigris!). With over 10 years of experience, we understand how the Toronto event marketing industry works along with close to 15 other cities across the country. From conceptual design to the successful execution of your customized promotional event or campaign, we know where your target audience will be and how to grab/maintain their attention. A successful event marketing campaign provides value to your potential consumers besides information. People love to receive discounts, a free sample, or participate in a fun activation so they are able to physically see the benefit from the event marketing campaign.

There are endless possibilities and you may want to consider that a Toronto event marketing campaign may different from the one you’d plan in Vancouver, Calgary or Montreal. The key to having a successful campaign is to identify the target audience and create an experience that they will find entertaining and memorable. By interacting with the right people, a brand can build a memorable impression and a long lasting relationship with their consumers. The best thing about a creative event is that people talk, and they will continue to talk about their experience with your brand long after the event is over!

Bringing your brand from the billboards to a face-to-face interaction with consumers is an important factor in creating a relationship them and your company. Where would you reach your target demographic where they are in a willing, participatory position? Concerts, festivals, fairs and sporting events are all great ideas. Are you thinking of direct sampling or interactive displays? Here’s an example of a Toronto event marketing campaign that Tigris worked hand in hand with a couple of different clients to create a unique brand experience.

An Interactive, Informative Toronto Event Marketing Activation

Event marketing is entering a new era where physical and virtual components often cross paths. Tigris worked hand in hand with a local entertainment company and online retailer Newegg.ca at the Digital Dreams Music Festival in Toronto this past summer. Newegg is a leading online retailor that supplies everything from computer hardware to jewelry for online shoppers. The main goal of the promotion was to create brand awareness amongst the mainstream commercial demographic. What better place to reach this audience than at a festival during Canada Day Long weekend that has over 100,000 guests?

In-between musical acts, guests were encouraged to visit the Newegg.ca interactive photo booth. The activation came complete with an interactive photo booth that was integrated with Facebook and Instagram, so each person’s photo uploaded onto their profile on these social media platforms. Along with the interactive component, our events staff collected data and from guests for contest entries on iPads. This activation was fun, engaging and well received. Guests also left with free samples of the Oxygen Plus Mini Energy Boost packs, a necessity during that hot weekend!

Did you know that Tigris provides feedback and post reports for each event we’re involved in? We’re proud of our post-event analysis’ so we can learn from the data and customer feedback to continually and consistently improve. For this specific event, our report detailed metrics such as the estimated number of brand impressions, interactions, and contest entries from the event. This enabled our client to see a true representation of how effective of the Toronto event marketing campaign really was. We also gathered testimonials from participants, “I love NewEgg, we have to take a photo!” and “I actually have your portable cell phone battery in my backpack!” These responses also relayed that the activation was successful and confirmed that the client was set up in the right area to target new consumers and enhance relationships with their current customers.
