Toronto Sporting Event Celebrates EURO 2016

The Euro Cup is back! The tournament, which takes place once every four years, will feature 24 countries – the largest amount of teams in the event’s history since expanding to 16 teas in 1996 – all competing for the Henri Delaunay Cup. To celebrate, Tigris provided staff for a Toronto sporting event, in association with TSN.

To kick off the start of EURO 2016, TSN held an outdoor activation at Yonge-Dundas Square, where fans were able to participate in interactive soccer-related games and activities. Within the event, fans were able to:

  • put their skills to the test in a human foosball game
  • take photos behind the TSN Sportscentre desk
  • represent their favorite team/country with face painting
  • enjoy a live on-site DJ
  • receive free giveaways with TSN broadcast info regarding all the Euro matches
  • from 2 to 5:30PM,  fans were able to watch the France vs Romania match on a 16’x12’ LED screen onsite!

For this Toronto sporting event, Tigris supplied enthusiastic, soccer-loving brand ambassadors to encourage and engage with fans throughout the day for a fun celebration of the most popular sport in the world. They were also responsible for managing various interactive elements onsite, and tasked with line control duties, disseminating information and handing out free giveaways.
