Tigris Uses Festival Marketing Strategies at Buskerfest!

Using unique Festival Marketing Strategies, Tigris participated in Toronto’s annual Buskerfest, the last major festival of the summer entertainment season, this past weekend!

Offering something for everyone from silent comedy, daredevils and magicians to highly skilled circus acts and a wide variety of music, clowns, contortionists, acrobats, aerialists, puppets, fire and a few things words can’t be used to describe—this festival was bursting with the unexpected. It’s recognized for being spontaneous and engaging—just like our staff who you may have spoken to or seen working!

 If you had hit up the Toronto Eaton Center during the extravaganza, you would have seen our staff in and around the mall! Partnering with TCP Integrated Marketing, a full-service communications company, we executed a campaign created to make consumers SMILE with a team of events staff and event management daily from Thurs., Aug. 22 to Sun., Aug. 25/13.

With four “Smile Stations” positioned throughout the mall, our enthusiastic events staff invited participants to put their hand into a “smile station” to pull out one of the many prizes offered by retailers in the mall—no strings attached! Customers walked away with amazing gifts—ranging from moisturizers, USB’s and underwear to gift certificates for different clothing stores and restaurants. The purpose of the activation was to keep mall traffic flowing during the busy weekend of Buskerfest. Over the span of four days, more than 7,600 prizes were given away and thousands of smiles received!

Connecting with Consumers through Direct Festival Marketing Strategies

Celebrating on the streets of Toronto,  Canada’s leading real estate and asset management company; Canderel, leveraged Buskerfest  to promote  their new Yonge & Grenville condominium. Taking advantage of direct festival marketing strategies, Canderel contacted our agency to book a team of events staff and event management from Thurs., Aug. 22 to Sun., Aug. 25 to educate festival-goers about the new development. Over the four days of beautiful weather and wild entertainment, our team interacted with over 27,000 people and handed out  close to 4,000 information pamphlets!
