Hudson’s Bay Company announced that January is the month to #BoostYourHealth. In addition to sharing tips online, an in-store event at Hudson Bay Queen Street was executed to help shoppers accomplish their wellness goals. Several vendors used interactive contest marketing to participate and acknowledge their support for the #BoostYourHealth movement. Teaming up with a brand ambassador agency Toronto also gave Under Armour an easy, scaleable solution to staff an event of this nature.
The results was a full day of in-store events, taking place in January 2017, to celebrate different ways to boost your health. Tigris joined forces with Under Armour for a contest marketing campaign, Spin to Win. Shoppers were to jump on an exercise bike to win a complete Under Armour look (that’s including the shoes!). The number of entries each participant receives was related to how many calories they could burn on their bikes. For example, if you were to burn 10 calories in 30 seconds, you can enter the contest 10 times. As you can imagine, it got a bit competitive!
Because shoppers came in non-athletic attire, the latest Under Armour shoes were available for participants to try on. The right shoes can increase your athletic performance because it’s impossible to spin in heels! After participating, each contestant was given a 20%-off coupon for in-store purchases, valid that day only. Some people loved the shoes so much, they bought them on the spot! To celebrate 2017 Valentine’s Day, Swatch executed a ‘Planet Love Game’ Contest. The contest was an incentive to increase store traffic. Onsite, our brand ambassadors were handing out out 1 single sticky note per person, inviting them to “Send a love note to someone on Planet Love”. In return, participants were given a ballot to enter the contest. The grand prize? A $150 dinner for two and the limited edition Swatch Planet Love. To increase their chances of winning, participants were able to post on social media with the hashtag #MySwatchMTL & #PlanetLove. Mayfair Shopping Centre Fleurs de Ville Promotion
As mentioned earlier, sometimes you have to get outside of your physical space to reach new consumers. Tigris was contracted by Mayfair Shopping Centre to provide 3 brand ambassadors to assist with their Fleurs de Villes promotion in downtown Victoria on Mar. 4/17.
Our team rode bicycles with baskets full of fresh tulips and gave out flowers to pedestrians while providing important key messaging about the promotion. Fleurs de Villes is a unique five-day exhibition of creativity, fashion, and fresh florals. This includes a stunning exhibit showcasing the breathtaking work of Victoria’s most talented florists on mannequins. Additionally, a series of pop-up flower market stands sell freshly cut flowers, bedding plants, floral crafts and more. All week, shoppers can peruse the displays, snap photos and vote for their favourite mannequin for a chance to win exclusive prizes.
This experiential activation is a great example of surprising and delighting your consumers. Tourists and locals loved the concept and many said our team had brightened their day.
Saks Fifth Avenue Mall Promotion

Our brand ambassadors Toronto traveled to Niagara, Sherway, Vaughan Mills and the Toronto Premium Outlets to promote the stores first Canadian anniversary.
A bright, branded truck enticed consumers to stop by and speak with our brand ambassadors. Our team was to distribute cookies and Saks OFF 5TH discount coupons. Overall, our team was able to create over 2, positive brand impressions and interactions between March 27-20, 2017. Victoria’s Secret Street Team
Victoria’s Secret is an American designer, manufacturer, and marketer of women’s premium lingerie, womenswear, and beauty products. To promote their latest collection, the brand teamed up with Relevent & brand ambassador agency Toronto Tigris at two popular 2017 summer events.
It’s important to select a busy event to surround your marketing efforts around. In Calgary, our team was outside the Calgary Stampede. This event hosts more than 1.2 million visitors from around the world. That’s guaranteed traffic! In Montreal, our team was at the Sainte-Catherine Street Sidewalk Sale. This sale is known as the biggest open sky gathering of merchants in Canada, attracting over 300,000 visitors to the heart of downtown Montreal.
The objective of the Calgary and Montreal promotional models was to create excitement surrounding the Victoria’s Secret stores in Canada. The promotional models distributed 20% off coupons and educated consumers about the Victoria’s Secret locations in Canada. In addition, the team was to get others excited about the brand, and most importantly, get them shopping! Surprising and delighting consumers when they least expect it can provide great results.
WINNERS Fab Grab Radio Remotes
The WINNERS Fab Grab with iHeartRadio was executed in several cities this year including Calgary, Vancouver, Halifax, Montreal and Toronto. The in-store radio remotes are planned in association with Bell Media and iHeart Radio to promote WINNERS across Canada.
Virgin Radio hosted a live remote at multiple WINNERS locations to award multiple parts of tickets to the Canadian festivals along with WINNERS gift certificates. Onsite, our promotional staff managed set-up, contest entry and operation of the Fab Grab machine. Listeners were encouraged to bring an item they have purchased at WINNERS with the tag still on and their receipt during the remote for their chance to participate and win.
Upon entering the Fab Grab machine, participants have 15 seconds to “grab” at prize certificates contained within the machine with blowing air. At the end of 15 seconds, the participant must reveal their certificate.

Cadillac Fairview wants to be a part of helping make your intentions a reality. Our events staff took over central, high traffic areas in 19 Cadillac Fairview malls across Canada Fridays to Sundays from Aug. 25-Sept. 17/17. While onsite, our event staff encouraged customers to enjoy an interactive experience by selecting intentional quotes to place onto a personalized tote bag. Because tote bags are reuseable, your positive affirmations are visible all day long.
So, how does the experience work? Choose your focus for fall: Self-Improvement, Giving Back, Finding Balance or Making Tomorrow Better (sponsored by WE). Once you select your focus, you’ll be prompted to select your favourite statement and design. Tote bags took approximately 15 minutes to hot press onsite, so in the meantime mall goers were able to enjoy exclusive offers from H&M, shop, eat and enjoy the mall while they wait!
La Vie en Rose Mystery Mall Promo
Who doesn’t love surprises? Tigris provided one promotional model at 10 La Vie en Rose locations within the GTA in September 2017. The promotional models granted the 99th customer to enter their store a grand prize pack of Cynthia Loyst’s Top 10 Picks. Shoppers were monitored with a clicker and the grand prize winner posed for social media photos. Hillcrest Mobile Fashion Truck
Tigris was thrilled to host the Hillcrest Mall’s Mobile Fashion Truck promotion for Brees Communications. Located in one of the GTA’s most affluent suburbs, Hillcrest is evolving into a destination with a premium fashion and lifestyle mix. Fall 2016 was be a key time to showcase Hillcrest’s retail/tenant offering such as the newly renovated Hudson’s Bay and key new retailers Sporting Life, H&M and Aritzia.
For 4 days, a branded display truck drove around the Richmond Hill area parking at busy intersections and invited passersby to explore all Hillcrest has to offer. The truck featured a collection of Hillcrest retailers (specifically new retailers) – displaying seasonal head to toe outfits from designated retailers. Our brand ambassador agency Toronto team educated consumers on this one of a kind pop up mobile collection travelling around Richmond Hill.
There were three different contests happening concurrently for this activation. ‘Snap a Selfie, Share & Win’ allowed consumers to share their selfie with #HelloHillcrest @shop_hillcrest for their chance to win a $500 shopping spree at Hillcrest. With ‘Win This Outfit’, visitors completed a ballet to win 1 of 5 outfits displayed on the mannequins inside the truck. Lastly, ‘Surprise Box Visits’ were promoted. During Oct 26-Oct 28th, the truck visited 8 homes and gave out a surprise box of goodies – from a contest that was entered online and promoted in advance. Most importantly, interactions were monitored with a clicker to track traffic.
