To mark this milestone, we thought it was only fitting to throw a client appreciation party! So, that’s what we did 🙂
The planning for the soiree began all the way back in February. After evaluating a few top locations, we decided to go ahead with The Spoke Club, an exclusive members only facility that was willing to sponsor their patio for us (thanks Eric!)
Next we had to think about who we would invite and design an invitation that would motivate as many people to join us as possible (thanks Midfield!). With the party taking place in Toronto, it substantially narrowed the down the list for us, especially with some clients as far away as South Africa, Australia and Greece. After mailing oout invitations (yes, the old school way… digital simply wouldn’t do our beautiful design justice), we confirmed close to 100 guests for our client appreciation party.
With the venue locked down and invitations in the mail, we had the time to consider other supporters who could help us make the night a memorable one. Iceberg Vodka sponsored welcome cocktails for our guests who loved the interactive ice luge that accompanied the tasting. Bongo & B supplied us with amazing beats including a DJ, steel pan drummer and saxophone player. We ordered just about every item on Spoke Club’s menu which was topped off by Appleton Ice Cream for dessert, sponsored by our clients from PMA.
Our lovely Tigris hostesses greeted guests, encouraging all of them to enter a draw for the chance to win one of a few fun prizes. Congratulations again to our winners!
-> Ivana, who won a bottle of Appleton Estate Jamaica Rum, aged 12 years
-> Mike, who will be able to utilize 4 complimentary events staff at his upcoming trade shows
-> Ryan, the lucky guy who will enjoy an all-expenses paid week long golf trip in sunny Florida!!
While not everyone could walk away with a prize, all of our guests enjoyed the great company, music, food/drinks and goodies in the gift bags. In retrospect, it was so amazing to connect with everyone face to face, especially a handful of client we hadn’t met yet or haven’t seen in years. We are so grateful for their continued friendship and support.

An entire decade has come and gone since Tigris opened its doors as a Toronto based staffing agency in April 2004. Not only has the time flown by, the little company that could has changed dramatically over the years.
Founded in April 2004, Tigris got it’s foot in the door with the likes of CHIN Radio, Motorola and Rogers. With less than 50 staff on our roster, we started to make a name for ourselves in the industry. We felt there was a big disconnect between those planning the events and the ability to execute them successfully through the use of temporary staff. We wanted to make sure our team understood that the importance of their role as ambassadors for these big brands – awareness and sales. And so, we coined the term “TSS” – short for Temporary Sales Staff.
As time passed and our portfolio of clients grew, so did the range of talent on our team along with our internal capabilities. In 2011, we made the move to formally expand our services to offer experiential marketing and in the past year, creative and digital. In addition to these changes, we dropped the term “TSS” as the term no longer seemed to encompass the requests which widely ranged from promotional models and brand ambassadors to market research interviews and sales staff. On Jan. 1, 2014, we also rebranded from Tigris Personnel to Tigris Incorporated to resonate better and more clearly with our clientele.
As we reflect on our celebration and on the last ten years of business, our hearts swell with gratitude for the wonderful relationships we’ve established and the opportunities we’ve been offered. We eagerly look forward to seeing what the next ten years will bring. And that being said, when should we throw the next client appreciation party?
