3 Examples of Brand Awareness Promotions to Inspire You

The challenge: inform your target demographic of a new product, promotion, or to simply introduce them to your brand and services. 1. Create a Contest


Taco Bell, in association with Grip Limited, designed a contest to promote their new product, the Grilled Stuft Nacho (designed not to be shared). First, a splashy display was created and put into a popular, high traffic mall in the Greater Toronto Area. Once enough time had passed to peak curiosity, our Tigris brand ambassadors engaged with mall goers who fit the target demographic and asked “Could you go without your phone for 48 hours?” 6 participants were chosen to lock their phones into the ‘No Share Zone’. The winner, who lasted the longest without their phone, was rewarded with $500! This activation was filmed and turned into a TV spot.

How would you like the opportunity to attend the Super Bowl? Tigris provided gorgeous promotional models to sample Corona, Bud Light and Budweiser at specific restaurants prior to the Super Bowl in 2015 & 2016. Along with sampling the variety of products to guests, our promotional models distributed branded beer glasses and bottle openers. The grand prize, two tickets to that year’s Super Bowl, was obtained through a draw. This was a great activation that was pre-promoted to encourage guests to visit the restaurant and purchase Labatt products.

2. Distribute Flyers

Are you a new company? A great way to increase brand awareness is with an eye-catching street team! For an entire month, Tigris provided 4 brand ambassadors per day to roam busy intersections in Toronto and distribute coupons for Feast. To promote their new app, Tigris brand ambassadors engaged downtown Toronto foot traffic to inform them of the ease and convenience of Feast. Feast delivers healthy, high quality meals with top-notch customer service to people who lead busy and active lives. The promotional card had a special $10 off for the consumers next Feast order. People were eager to learn more and pleased with the significant discount!

Are you looking to spread the word of a special in-store promotion? In association with Orange Board Media, Tigris had a team of brand ambassadors distribute over 400 flyers and 600 coupons to promote an in-store special at Extreme Pita. A similar promotion occurred on National Coffee Day, where our Tigris team distributed hundreds of free coffee coupons for Coffee Culture outside of their store. This gave people an intensive to visit the store and make a purchase with their free coffee.

3. Host a Booth at a Trade Show


A trade show is a great opportunity to engage with your target demographic. Trade shows are tailored to a specific niche, and there are hundreds throughout North America that occur frequently with attendees eager to learn more about your product and services!
