Tigris assisted with contest driven marketing for HP Canada at the Calgary and Edmonton Bridal Expos. Onsite, our team was to showcase the experience for bride’s-to-be to “Make your wedding…your way” with the use of HP original inks, printers, paper products and apps. A wedding doesn’t have to break the bank when you incorporate DIY aspects!
In addition to showcasing an experience, our team was to promote HP Original Inks and get attendees to sign up for the HP contest. Contest driven marketing may sound easy, but that’s not always the case. You have to ensure the contest is quick, easy and the prize is worth the participants time. HP Canada used tablets for brides to win one of two great prizes.
Contest Driven Marketing: Great Prizes and Giveaways
The prizes were as follows: (1) grand prize of a $5,000 wedding photographer, with a secondary prize of 1 of 2 HP Envy printers with HP Original Ink. Attendees who completed the contest also received an HP voucher for $50 off a printer and $10 off Ink, with a packet of HP SnapShot photo paper as a takeaway.
Attendees were excited about the contest and wanted to sign up to win. When given the HP SnapShot photo paper as a takeaway for completing the survey, attendees expressed excitement in discovering that the back can be peeled off thus creating a ‘photo sticker’. Attendees also found the idea of creating DIY wedding items attention-grabbing.
