Canadian Tire and Tigris are collaborating once again for an exciting team promotion at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series! For three consecutive years now, Tigris has provided Canadian Tire with some of our most exceptional and outgoing staff to deliver an exciting experience for guests attending the summer series of NASCAR races.
The coming Labour Day weekend brings an exciting twist to NASCAR racing! When you think NASCAR, you’re probably thinking of fast sports cars, but that’s not the case for this time around! The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series – how cool is that!? Pickup trucks flying down the race track – now that’s something you don’t want to miss out on. This series is owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and it is the only series in all of NASCAR to race modified production pickup trucks. It is a truly an amazing and unique experience for all guests to be apart of. In 2013, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was the nineteenth season of the third highest stock car racing in the United States, and now, the truck rally will be heading to Canada for it’s 2nd time to Mosport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Over the course of the upcoming Labour Day weekend (August 30-31st), Tigris’ top event staff from east Toronto will come together for an exciting team promotion to assist with events happening around the NASCAR races. Tigris will be supplying Canadian Tire with 32 events staff to execute various roles throughout the weekend. These positions include 25 shuttle drivers, 4 floaters, and 1 staff in the Action Zone, Fan Zone, and to survey fans. With a group as big as this, Tigris will also supply an event manager to ensure that the weekend runs perfectly!
If you’ve ever visited the Canadian Tire Motor Sports Track before, you’re aware that it could take quite a long time to walk from one turn of the track to another. That’s why this year, Canadian Tire has asked us to supply almost double the number of shuttle drivers than in previous years. The golf karts will be used to shuttle truck rally fans around the park, so as you can imagine, guests are ecstatic to receive this amenity. If you will be attending the event this year – you won’t be able to miss our team in action! The golf karts will be branded with ‘Jumpstart Courtesy Shuttle’ flags, and all donations contributed will go directly to Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Foundation.
For the rest of the team promotion, our event staff in the Canadian Tire Action Zone will be responsible for greeting guests as they enter the park and getting them excited for the races. They will also be distributing branded swag to guests. For those lucky enough to be sitting in the Fan Zone, our personable staff will be responsible for greeting them, seating them, and distributing popcorn and water. We then have our surveyors and floaters. The surveyor’s have a very important role; they give guests the opportunity to provide Canadian Tire with feedback on the event. Many guests last year suggested that there should be more shuttle golf kart drivers to convenience guests – and Canadian Tire listened! We now have around double the amount of shuttle drivers, so returning guests will be very pleased to see this. After all, one of our most important purposes is to create brand awareness for Canadian Tire and to guests a memorable and satisfied experience at their event.
