Tigris booked a team of event management and 8 brand ambassadors along with an event manager to promote Motorola at the 2005 Toronto International Film Festival.
The brand ambassadors were trained on two Motorola handsets and had exclusive access to TIFF line ups to play movie trivia on their demo phones with the public to award them prizes. Owners of Motorola handsets automatically received a prize, while others had the chance to win a prize by correctly answering the movie trivia questions.
Giveaways included Motorola M&M’s, laser key chains, CD’s, CD cases, and pens. The Tigris brand ambassadors engaged more than 10 000 people during the 10 day promotion and handed out more than 25 000 prizes. It is estimated that the street promotion resulted in more than 50 000 brand impressions.
