Reflecting on the 2nd Annual Ultimate Wealth Weekend

Inspiring Programming at the Ultimate Wealth Weekend

Were you one of the driven individuals who attended the Ultimate Wealth Weekend from Dec. 5-7? If not, you missed out on an action packed 3 days of high impact learning from speakers and teachers who are recognized and renowned from around the world. I was one of the lucky one’s who attended the event and it didn’t disappoint.

The Ultimate Wealth Weekend kicked off with “The Science of Self-Promotion” presented by Paul Tindall who dug deep into the psychological barriers that prevent and inhibit us from promoting ourselves, our business and ultimately from closing sales. Did you know that even the best sales people have moments of insecurity and doubt, often fueled by rejection and fear? Tindall spoke about some of the solutions to these challenges which are offered through Phoenix Coaching.

The morning continued with information on the benefits of buying debt (who knew!) presented by Omni Arch and personal pension plan options with Integris from Jake Scudamore. The latter I found especially helpful seeing as so many self-employed entrepreneurs rarely thing about or plan for retirement yet is so important. You need to get in the habit of paying yourself first! And speaking of long-term planning, Simon Giannini of the Real Estate Talk Show outlined the investment opportunities with residential, pre-construction and commercial real estate. Toronto real estate has never been hotter and investors can stand to make anywhere from 20-40% on most investments. How amazing is that?

Following lunch, the room went from 75% full to over capacity as world renowned expert on success and best-selling author of 78 books, Brian Tracy took over the Ultimate Wealth Weekend stage. Impressively, Brian was in a wheelchair just a little over a month ago, following spinal surgery – but he still managed to speak for 3 hours, delivering high level teaching to a captivated group of learn-it-all’s. Brian provided the group of 400+ with work books and covered everything from “Your Most Valuable Asset” and “Seven Keys to Building a High Profit Business” to “The Seven P’s of the Marketing Mix”, “Six Ways to Double Your Productivity” and “Seven Rules for the 21st Century”.

Let me just say this. Brian is amazing. He really has a no nonsense way of looking at life, business and sales. His clarity and his drive is extremely motivating. I can only hope my mind is as sharp as his when I hit the age of 70!

Following his 3 hour talk, the large group dispersed and a small group of us moved along to a 3 course dinner and private sit down panel discussion with Brian. Each table had the opportunity to ask a question (or two) to gather additional insights from the business building knowledge mogul. While the entire Ultimate Wealth Weekend was interesting, inspiring and informative, this sit down was the highlight and apparently nothing Brian’s really done in this format before. How exciting to be among the first!

After 15 hours onsite at the Allstream Centre on Dec. 5, I went home to rest up for day 2 which was different but just as insightful. We learned about a government grant for $10,000 to invest in your business (score! I signed up right away!). A representative from Infusion Soft was onsite to discuss how to automate your marketing, an invaluable tool for businesses that sell products online, packaged content or registering guests for an event.

The most difficult thing to decide on Saturday and Sunday were the break out sessions as the content in each seemed of equal value. On Saturday, we had to choose between “How to Invest Money in Real Estate Safely” by Elite Training Pros and “Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling” by David Cohen as well as “How to be a Top Tier CEO” by Jason Morsink and “From Prospects to Profits Sales Training” with Jonathan Weaver. I wasn’t sure where to go but ultimately opted for David Cohen and Jason Morsink’s sessions, both very interesting. Like Brian the previous night, it really comes down to common sense, maintaining laser edge focus and just “getting on with it”. As a business owner, you need to decide what you want to achieve, take strategic risks and follow through with what you need to do. Nobody and I repeat nobody is going to do it for you.

The entire group also had the opportunity to sit with top female business coach Pat Mussieux who truly walked away from everything in her life, started over and has become wildly successful when she decided to stop compromising and lead the life she always wanted to lead. As a female in business, I found her to be incredibly admirable.

A Startling Sunday at the Ultimate Wealth Weekend

For those of you who know Paul Tobey and have spent time in his courses, you will know that he follows a very specific template and offers high valued experiential learning. You’ll also know that he was once a broke jazz musician turned self-made millionaire by teaching small businesses how to market themselves online and with presentations/public speaking.

One of the sponsors at the Ultimate Wealth Weekend was Pearl Pianos, a small business specializing in musical equipment, namely pianos and they had sponsored a piano for Paul’s use throughout the 3 day weekend.

When Paul and his team arrived Sunday morning however, they were aghast to see that someone had vandalized the room by gluing the keys of the piano together and cutting all of the cords required for sound. He shared this with the room as the day got started. I know I’m not only speaking for myself when I saw that we were all stunned by this news.  I’m not sure who did something so terrible – but I do know that karma is a B and rhymes with itch.

I don’t want to spend too much more time on this but would like to say that those who are not open and willing to accept guidance may in fact get angry about some of the ideas and life changing concepts widely covered throughout the weekend. It’s really sad – but as Paul says, “every challenge presents 2 solutions and an opportunity”. You just need to look at it that way.

As Sunday continued on, there were a couple more break out sessions – “Switched On Living” with Jerry Teplitz and “The Ultimate Mastermind” by Nancy Mayer. It was a tough choice but I opted for Switched On Selling which was unbelievably interesting. There were so many mind tricks you can take advantage of to motivate staff and overcome barriers to sales. Definitely something I’d never heard of before and will be exploring further.

The day wrapped up with high impact presenter and one of Paul’s first teachers, Rob Riopel. He is a firecracker on stage and has an amazing new application called “Amentora” to not only visualize and focus on what you want but also to team up with accountability partners, check off goals as you achieve them and so much more. Perfect for the inspired entrepreneur on the go!

All of this being said, was the Ultimate Wealth Weekend worth it? Yes! Was it memorable, yes! Where else are you going to get 32 hours of intense high-valued learning from nearly a dozen experts in different fields for under $300? Well, nowhere really. For those seeking ultimate wealth in their own lives, this was an excellent platform and on this note, in the word of Brian Tracy, I need to get on with it! There is work to do and sales to close in pursuit of Tigris’ ultimate wealth 🙂
