They say if you haven’t already started on 2015, then you’re already falling behind. Well, it’s safe to say we’ve got lots of things in store for 2015, including a relationship with a new client! You probably have an idea of what this company is all about, since it’s outlined in the name. Petcurean is an independent, Canadian-owned family business that’s been around since 1999, producing premium pet foods for dogs and cats. If you aren’t an animal lover, or don’t own a furry pet of your own, then you may not understand the importance of premium pet food. It’s always a joy when these two come to visit us in the office. Our national account manager, Allison, is a pet lover as well. She will be the main point of contact for the events we have planned with Petcurean and it’s a bit of an understatement to say she’s excited 😉 She’s constantly on the client’s website, distracted by photos of the most adorable dogs that she claims to call “research”. We can’t blame her for getting a little side tracked by these adorable animals.

Okay, let’s get down to business. What exactly does our relationship with Petcurean entail? So far, we’ve scheduled brand ambassadors for the first in a series of trade shows taking place in Alberta. As the year unfolds, we will also have events in Sherbrooke, Halifax and Mississauga. These trade shows and expos all revolve around pets, of course! The first event will be the Edmonton Pet Expo on January 24th & 25th. As an exhibitor at the Edmonton Pet Expo, Petcurean will be able to share their brand with pet lovers, achieve on-site sales, and gain positive public relations. The audience is expected to reach over 13,000 animal enthusiasts.

We’ve previously talked about the benefits of incorporating integrity staffing at conferences and trade shows on our blog. These events demonstrate the benefits perfectly. Although the team at Percurean is a large one, it’s hard to send staff to various parts of Canada for a two day event. Serena Holmes (formerly Schwab) is the President & CEO of Tigris Incorporated. She is a Broadcast Journalism graduate from Ryerson University. She began working in events in 2000 and started with Tigris as an events staff in 2004, was promoted to management and later accepted partnership. Serena took over operations of the company in 2008.
