Who doesn’t love supporting events for a good cause? Tigris supports St. Joesph’s Health Care Foundation with event management and logistics for the Toronto West Halloween Fest. This event was to take place on Bloor St. West between Jane and Runnymede to raise money for the hospital’s foundation. The foundation supports their Pediatric Emergency Department, just for kids. As you can see, it’s a very important cause that we are honoured to support. 

Tigris has worked in tandem with St. Joe’s from 2012 to 2016. Throughout our relationship, we create a master work back schedule, day-of run sheets, coordinate permits and approvals with the City of Toronto. In addition, we develop health, safety and traffic control plans and design site maps for the festival. Entertainment, including AV/DJ and rentals for tenting, staging, ports and waste was sourced. Our project management team liaises with sponsors to plan their onsite activities, mascots, and gifts. Our team oversees all on-site set-up, registration and tear down – while staying within a strict budget. A post-report is always provided in under one week of the event.

To support this request, we usually allow 4-6 months to prepare and plan. Finally, a post-report is always provided in under one week of the event.

THE RESULTS

The event has grown from 500 participants in year 1 to over 8,500 in year 5! The net profit from the event has grown an average of 25% year over year with over $250,000 gross revenue. Tigris is the exclusive event management company on record for this event.

Our tasks was to promote the grand opening of two new RONA stores as part of a retail expansion. The project focused on thanking customers while increasing brand awareness in the Canadian retail market. First of all, what comes to mind when saying ‘thank you’ to your key players? A ‘thank you’ party, of course! 

Therefore Tigris planned two parties thrown on behalf of RONA  for key players and suppliers in Calgary and Toronto. This included site selection for one venue per city, food/beverage coordination, staging, lighting, AV, entertainment, giveaways, décor and signage. Like every fancy party, there was a limited guest list of 100 attendees in each city. 

THE RESULTS 

The ‘MOULIN ROUGE’ theme was an eye-catching extravaganza which met the objective of strengthening existing and new partnerships. One guest said it was one of the best events they’d ever attended. This was definetly a memorable moment from our event planning experience!

Most noteworthy are the staff executing an event. Looking for a reputable staffing partner, TK Events tasked Tigris with providing teams of personable and professional brand ambassadors for their events. The events are Canada wide, to support Facebook Performance, Connect and Summit series.

Staffing requests vary per event and venue location. As a result, the range includes anywhere from 2-3 BA’s at one location to as many as 30 staff working multiple shifts and locations across several dates. A few notable activations this year include Round Table series at Facebook Canada HQ, Blueprint e-Learning seminars, and Facebook Summit at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts.

RESULTS

All Facebook activations targeted leading Canadian brands, media and creative agencies. This target audience all have one thing in common. They are looking to utilize Facebook as a prominent B2B / B2C tool. Because these events are so popuar, event attendance ranged from a dozen key players to over 1,000 registered attendees. In addition, Tigris continuously provides the same brand ambassadors, when possible, to work the Facebook events. Consistent team members assist with a flawless execution.

How do you increase brand awareness and increase sales for a new product? Hand out 100,000 samples to potential consumers! Sounds pretty extreme, doesn’t it? Like we’ve said before, no task is too big our small for our team, and we love a challenge. 

To manage the task, Tigris teamed up with a media company and an ad agency. Together, our plan was to create a three-tiered marketing initiative to distribute close to 100,000 samples of Clover Leaf Tuna Toppers. The target markets included customers in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal. Tigris coordinated logistics, supplies, uniforms, management and staffing to hand out samples at 100 fitness facilities, 38 transit stations and over 2 weeks for a food truck tour. The launch took place from Sept. 14-Oct. 10, 2015.

RESULTS

Especially relevant, in under one month, Tigris’ team dispersed:

  • 76,000 samples at the transit stations in 5 cities
  • 25,000 samples at fitness facilities in 5 cities
  • and 10,000 samples during the food truck tour in 3 cities.
